– Number 1: Make it about the patient, not about you.

– Patients want to know that you have their best interests at heart.

– Nobody likes being seen as just another paycheck.

– Your website content should focus strongly on the benefits to your patients, not on your certifications and the seminars you’ve attended.

– Number 2: Talk to your patients, not at them.

– Too many dentists market for other dentists by using technical terms and the names of fancy imaging equipment.

– If your dental prospects don’t understand you, they won’t choose you.

– Number 3: Use real pictures, not stock photos.

– Patients want to see you and your staff, and happy, satisfied, real current patients.

– Give your new dental patients the proof they’re looking for.

– Number 4: Be transparent with your website links.

– If there’s an opt-in button to receive emails and newsletters from you, make it clear how often they can generally expect to receive communications.

– And number 5: Answer their questions.

– Patients want to know that you can solve their dental problems, but not necessarily the details of how you’ll go about it.

– They’re more concerned with time, pain, embarrassment, and effectiveness.

– This is another aspect of making it about the patient, not about you.
