Patient Attraction Episode 794

Keeping your existing customers – your dental patients – is required for any business to survive. The rules for maintaining your patient base are the same as for growing a garden. After the break, I’ll tell you how to keep your patient “garden” healthy and productive. Stay tuned.

– Thanks for tuning in to the Patient Attraction Podcast.

– I’m Colin Receveur.

– Dentists will spend far more money attracting new patients than keeping their current ones.

– And maintaining your patient base – your garden – doesn’t have to take a lot of money.

– It takes time, attention, caring, and the right “nutrients.”

– No gardener lives in the garden, but good ones visit often.

– They pay attention to how the plants are doing and what weeds are popping up.

– You need to “visit” your patients by staying in touch.

– Do that through e-newsletters, emails and e-blasts, blog posts and social media posts.

– But be careful not to “overwater” your patient garden.

– Space out your contacts.

– Gardens need the right mix of nutrients.

– Give your patient garden the nutrients it needs – great content that answers patients’ concerns.

– Your focus has to be on educating and informing your patients.

– Finally, plants are sensitive to their environment.

– Create the perfect environment for your patient garden to grow and flourish.

– Be helpful, concerned, involved, approachable, and expert.

– That’s what makes your garden grow.

– Dr. Michael Abernathy, founder of Summit Practice Solutions, likes what SmartBox does to help his clients’ gardens grow.

– “I can say with all confidence that Colin Receveur knows what he’s doing to leverage the Internet to help dentists attract more and better patients.

– “We use him, and probably the greatest endorsement I can give is that we encourage our clients to work with Colin.

– “We want them to be successful.

– “His systems guide you on how to attract potential patients to your website, what kinds of blogs, videos, content and pictures to put on your website, and how to keep your name in front of potential patients and turn them into paying patients.”

– Until the next podcast, keep moving forward.
