Commitment is today’s principle of persuasion. Dr. Robert Cialdini tells us that when people make a commitment verbally and especially in writing, they are more likely to keep it.

This goes way beyond whether patients keep appointments.

This is about getting potential patients to be become paying patients.

Here are three ways to get potential patients to schedule appointments:

Make sure patients give contact info when they visit your site. Talk about ways docs can do this.

Make regular, frequent contact based on the names you receive until the patient is ready to schedule an appointment. Talk about ways docs can do this.

Give potential patients every opportunity to make an appointment online. This means having a website where every page either has a place or a link to an appointment form.
